Emblem.Flag.Anthem

Each country has its own official symbols – a flag, emblem and anthem.

   Flag

Another such in the world, and even similar to the flag of the United Kingdom is nowhere else. This flag is also called "Union Jack". At the moment, the flag of great Britain connected the cloth kingdoms that make up the country, namely England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In the future, the flag may change somewhat due to the desire of some kingdoms to become independent powers. Also curious is the fact that the "Union Jack" no dragon - the symbol of Wales. The question of its addition to the flag was raised in 2007, however, before serious consideration of the case did not come.

The flag of great Britain consists of three crosses:

   - The vertical red and white cross is the cross of St. George, which is considered the patron Saint of England.

   - The diagonal white cross is the cross of St. Andrew, the patron Saint of Scotland.

   - The diagonal red cross is the cross of St. Patrick, the patron Saint of Northern Ireland.

   Еmblem

The Royal coat of arms of England is the official heraldic symbol of the monarch of Britain. At the moment, the coat of arms is the heraldic symbol of Elizabeth II. All other members of the Royal family and the government of England use different emblems. Royal heraldic symbol is found in two types of performance, one of the types is used exclusively in Scotland.

The usual type of performance of the heraldic emblem has a pair of lions and seven leopards.

Leopards appeared on the heraldic symbol at the time when Richard the First was on the throne. The coat of arms with three leopards and lions located on its background for a long period of time was the only heraldic symbol of the British state.

During the Hundred years ' war, which took place between 1337 and 1453 and was also known as the leopard's War with Lily, the English heraldic symbol was changed. When there was a suppression of the dynastic line of Capet in 1328, the Royal throne was claimed by England's king Edward the Third. After the election of the Fourth Philip of Valois, the English king divided the field of the heraldic shield for the next few quarters as a sign of requirements to the throne of France and placed in the initial and fourth quarters of the shield azure field coverage with printed on it with Golden lilies, leaving the second and third quarters covered with leopards.

Lilies on the coat of arms of England were a symbol of the throne of France. Edward the third followed the heraldic rule, which States that children can place elements of the heraldic emblems of mother and father on their heraldic emblem. In this form, the coat of arms remained unchanged until the nineteenth century. During this period, from the title of monarch of England disappeared mention of the throne of France. Henry IV changed the arms and left on the shield, three lilies.

From 1603 the heraldic symbol of England was supplemented with signs symbolizing Scotland and Ireland after the throne of England was occupied by the Scottish king James The first. These symbols are The red lion and the Golden harp. On the heraldic symbol of the figures supporting the shield on the years have changed, animals that fulfilled this function was the falcons, Welsh dragon as will the others, which is the symbol of the Celtic roots of monarchical dynasty, silver dog. Since the beginning of the seventeenth century approved as a shield lion and unicorn. The gilded helmet on the English heraldic symbol crowns the crown of St. Edward, which became an element of heraldry during the reign of Charles II. At the top of the gilded helmet was a gilded leopard, called the British lion. Namet is gilded with an ermine.

At the bottom of the coat of arms of great Britain is a green lawn with a rose and other plants. These plants are symbols of Britain, Sowing. Ireland and Scotland. At the very bottom of the coat of arms is the motto of the ruling monarchical dynasty, which means "God and my right." The interesting thing is that the inscription is made in French. The shield of the modern coat of arms is divided into 4 parts. The first and fourth parts contain the emblem of Britain, the second part contains the emblem of Scotland and the third part with the emblem of Ireland. Wedding shield helmet provides paasivaara snaring. On the helmet is crowned lion.

   Anthem

The national anthem of great  Britain has not changed in this country since the XVIII century. There is evidence that the melody of the anthem was performed in 1745. The famous phrase "God save the Queen!"was feminized during the reign of the female monarch. In the case of sitting on the throne of the king, the phrase is replaced by" God save the King", the pronouns are also changed in the right places.

The anthem of the United Kingdom is used for important social and state events in the country, although it has not been officially approved by the Royal proclamation. In fact, this anthem is just a tradition, the piece of music has become a de facto anthem. It happens in the modern world!
